Chorus takes medals at two international competitions
Silver in Strong Beer at the International Brewing Awards in March and Gold at the London Beer Competition in April, both in Chorus's first year.
Chorus, the fine English sparkling beer brewed at Hops House, has been recognised at two international competitions in the same season: Silver in the Strong Beer category at the International Brewing Awards, and Gold at the London Beer Competition.
The International Brewing Awards result was announced in March 2026 and the London Beer Competition result in April, both in Chorus’s first year.
What Chorus is
Chorus took years of experimentation to arrive at. It is brewed with Chardonnay yeast, which develops the fresh orchard fruit notes, using light malts fermented longer to build a delicate biscuity finish, and it is lifted by fine persistent bubbles rather than the coarser carbonation of a standard beer.
It is 12% ABV, sold in 750ml bottles, vegan and gluten free, and serves six.
Judged as a beer, poured like a wine
The two awards judge different things, which is why taking both matters. The International Brewing Awards is a brewers’ competition, judged blind by brewers against style. The London Beer Competition weighs quality alongside value and packaging, closer to how a buyer decides what to list.
It resonates very much with putting your nose in a glass of sparkling wine, but you’re still getting that true identity of it being a beer as well. Very, very unique.
